Required Clearances and Certifications

F.L.A.G. Coaches,

For this upcoming season all coaches and any parent that is in routine contact with the players (including score keepers that are in the dugout must obtain their Child Abuse History Clearance ACT 151 and Pennsylvania State Police Back Ground Check Clearance ACT 34, before the season is to start. These clearances are in addition to the background checks completed by Little League. These two clearances are free for VOLUNTEERS. Volunteer clearances cannot be used for a paid position and are good for 60 Months. After 60 months you must re-attain your clearances. Listed below are the websites for the two clearances. Once you complete the clearance, keep a record for yourself and turn in a record to your League Vice President.

If you have not lived in the State of Pennsylvania for the past 10 consecutive years you must also obtain your FBI Fingerprints from the Department of Human Services to volunteer. If you have lived in Pennsylvania for the previous 10 consecutive years this does not apply to you.

· Continue to fill out the rest of the information and either schedule or go to a location to obtain your fingerprint clearances.

In addition to these clearances, all coaches must complete and sign the following documents in order to be considered to coach for FLAG Little League. Coach/Manager’s Role, Volunteer Code of Conduct, and Little League Volunteer Form (This is now online and you will receive a link).

In order to be eligible to coach you must have all clearances and documents completed and turned into your League Commissioner. If any of the following are missing, you will not be eligible to coach for FLAG Little League!
